GM introduces software platform Ultifi as business model changes

In its very first massive move to expand into a program corporation, General Motors is introducing a new software package system it created called Ultifi.

The automaker will start out putting Ultifi (all-tee-fy) on some inner combustion and electrical automobiles commencing with the 2023 product calendar year with the hope that it assists boost consumer loyalty to GM autos and opens up new channels to earnings beyond vehicle revenue.

“Ultifi is a significant, significant phase in our application strategy,” Scott Miller, GM’s vice president of software-described automobiles explained Wednesday. “Today, automobiles are enabled by computer software, with Ultifi, autos will be described by it.”

Previous 7 days, Alan Wexler, GM’s senior vice president of innovation and progress, announced that GM has a new business product that extends beyond the hardware of creating autos, to becoming a software package system innovator.
